Hi My name is karen and I am a Veterinary Technician. Have worked at the Animal Medical Center NY, Center for Specialized Veterinary Care in Westbury and at present 5th Avenue Veterinary Specialists in Ny where I work as a Technician in the Critical Care Unit.I have had animals all my life. I Have!!! When you are gone, many things have to be done on a daily basis to make certain your pets are safe,secure, comfortable and happy. I go through a 22 point checklist everytime I visit with your pet. *Releasing your security system *Bringing in the newspapers *Bringing in the mail *Giving each pet clean,fresh water *Giving each pet the proper amount of food *Making sure each pet eats all the food *Restoring the supplies in the proper place *Giving treats (if they are allowed) *Cleaning up any "accidents" that may occur *Watering the plants *Cleaning the litter box *Forwarding messages if requested *Checking all internal & external doors & windows *Daily Brushing/playtime *Changing the lighting arrangement *Making notes for owners *Administer Medication if needed *Pet first Aid (cpr) *Visits in unmarked vehicle/Safe for keys *Restoring the security system You do most of these things automatically when you are home.
